History Fair, 2020
At the Salt Lake Regional competition for National History Day, five projects by SLCSE students placed in the top three of their category. These students' projects will advance to the statewide virtual competition later in April.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in History Fair this year at SLCSE. Their consistent work in Fridays afterschool meetings provided an academic and rewarding end to each week for Mr. Dearden, Ms. Haakenson, and Mr. Crandall.

SLCSE Artwork Recognized by Artes de Mexico en Utah
Ahitza and Amber will both receive awards from Artes de Mexico en Utah for their artwork that embraces the Call for Artists contest objective:
"winners for the Call for Artists contest, named this year “Nuestras Raices”"Our Roots" to acknowledge the "International Year of the Indigenous Languages". The selected artworks will be published in a book along with the winners of the poetry and prose. This book is sponsored by the Salt Lake Community College and the Community Writing Center."
